    As of late I been seeing a lot of bad stand up comedy. I don't know why stand up is getting so bad it could be so many things. Every thing from a very politically correct environment to celebrities trying to turn them selfs.into stand up comics when they.never built up them skills in the clubs and spent tge years learning how to do it.

    People like Brandon schuad who is one of the most unfunny stand up comics I ever seen.

    Any one else want to share who they find to be a bad stand up comic.

      I think the "joke" was the character of Andrew Dice Clay thought he was smart and cool but didn't realize he was a jack ass.
      I'm not a big fan of the character but I've heard interviews with the guy who was just being himself and he's pretty funny.

    I won't bust my brain thinking of names, but about 50% of stand-up comics I have seen are not funny and about 25% are only mildly entertaining.

    The remaining 25% run from OK to hysterical, with only about 5% in the hysterical range.

    In my opinion, he doesn't do it for the joy he brings to the audience, he does it so he can get away with insulting, annoying and verbally abusing people.
    I'm sure he doesn't turn down the money he gets from standing there spewing verbal diarrhea either.
    I'd like to see one show from him, that he doesn't use profanity, doesn't demean someone and doesn't use his hair color or his religious background as a weapon against the audience.

      In this clip, please keep in mind that Hofstetter escalated this intentionally, by calling out the audience member as an Anti-Semite, when in reality,, it is a fact that in the United States, a large majority of Television, Film and Newspaper conglomerates are owner, run, or supported by Jewish families or organizations. What the audience member said was not racist, nor Anti-Semitic. Hofstetter used his jewish heritage as a weapon to mock outrage and try to humiliate the audience member. It's what he does. BTW Note at the end of the clip he cites that TV, Film and movie industry in "Canada" is not controlled by Jews, but doesn't address anything else.

    I never was much on slapstick physical comedy, Lucille Ball, Jim Carrey, Will Ferrell. Hell, Jackass had a better handle on that stuff . Oh... and Jerry Lewis, nope.

    So reading some of the comments I can tell every one has a lot of different taste and points of views of what makes a great comic. So I am going to spot light another bad comic that puts all the ones you suggested to shame I give you.

    The man built his career up by stealing jokes from underneath guys who you may never hear. His theft was so rampant he earned the nick name carlos manstealia from his peers. His theft and career came to a end after Joe Rogan lost it on him at the ComedyStore in LA.

    I get it... and then there's the cultural incest comedy of Larry, the cable guy, Bill Engvald, and Jeff Foxworthy. Sorry, grew up in that stuff and just don't find the humor in it... especially when they walk away with big paychecks for making laughs off of other folks reality. I guess that's what they think is funny, but it like TalCalbot said above... it's just vulgar in it's familiarity and demeaning in it's skewed description.

    I saw Jeff Dunham before he made it, had two openers, the first guy just wasn't funny.

    The woman who went after was hilarious, can't believe she didn't make it.

    And Jeff was awesome.

    I loved the early years of George Carlin but toward the end he became an angry old man.

    I'm not a fan of any comedian that has to be vulgar or gross. I really enjoy comedians that put a lot of thought into their jokes, especially if it's a joke about mundane, everyday, stuff. Demetri Martin is one of my favorites. Absolutely hysterical (To me).
